Requests for new service, or the development of areas within Marshall Municipal Utilities' (MMU's) service territory may require the payment of some contribution in aid of construction fees before installation of MMU infrastructure will commence.

Some areas in Marshall are subject to additional charges for sewer infrastructure. The MSDC Sewer (an area generally described as west of Miami Street and north of the Gateway Railroad) is subject to an additional fee of $500.00 per sewer tap. (Excludes lots within the MSDC Industrial Park) The South Odell Sewer (an area generally described as East of the airport runway and south of Sunset Cemetery and the Elsea III Addition) is charged an annual tax by an NID for twenty years.
